Oak Creek Academy

A different kind of school

for different kinds of learners.

Individualized Instruction

Oak Creek Academy is a nonprofit K–12 private school in Killeen built on a simple idea: children do not have to learn the same way to learn together.

Our small, flexible classrooms allow teachers to individualize instruction while supporting each student’s academic, social, and developmental growth. By working closely with families and therapy partners, we create an inclusive learning environment where students can build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections throughout their school day.

It's nice to meet YOU!

At Oak Creek Academy, we want to know the child behind the enrollment paperwork. What makes them laugh? What sparks their curiosity? What frustrates them? What motivates them? What are they proud of, and what are they still figuring out? We take the time to know our students as people—not just as grades, diagnoses, behaviors, or test scores—because knowing who they are helps us understand how to help them thrive.

Every student is taught according to their individual needs.

Classrooms are limited to 14 students.

Families, therapists, and teachers work together.

Movement is an important part of the school day.

REDEFINING THE NORM LEADS TO

Traditional education often begins with an expectation of how students should learn, behave, communicate, and demonstrate what they know. At Oak Creek Academy, we’re willing to question those expectations. We believe the environment should be flexible enough to meet the needs of the children in it—not the other way around. By making room for different ways of learning, participating, communicating, and growing, we create more opportunities for every student to be included, make meaningful progress, and experience success.
