Thank you for taking time to view the information about our non-profit school. After several years of teaching public school, I started Education Connection in 1995, a child development center, ages six weeks to pre-k, including before/after school care to support our community. Born and raised in Killeen, I always work towards fulfilling needs of our citizens. After 20 years in the field, I realized that a school focused on individual learning was needed. I have always been a huge proponent of inclusion and feel that every child learns in their own unique way. If a student is able to work above their grade level, they should be challenged and have the freedom to do so. If a student is working below grade level, they should have the opportunity to grow academically from that point. Too often in traditional school settings, we try to put the square peg into the round hole. At Oak Creek Academy, we understand that every child is unique and learns differently. We welcome you to call and schedule a tour at your convenience.
Sincerely,
Dr. Tracy Hanson

Oak Creek Academy is providing an invaluable service to families in the Killeen and Bell County area. Did you know that as a non-profit 501c3, we do not receive any government funding for building maintenance, supplies, facility upgrades, education costs, or scholarships – and tuition alone doesn’t cover all of our costs. Which is why we need people just like you to help us make a difference in the lives of our special needs children. Many of the families with exceptional children who would benefit most from a non-traditional learning environment are unable to cover the costs of tuition. But with your help we can offer scholarships, cover educating costs and staffing, upgrade our building, and watch our amazing community grow.
